Window Kit How-to (Window Install Step 2)
[CCGA]Spectere & [CCGA]Umpa

6. Place the spacer(washer) on the case and in contact with the edge of the window. Place the point of a pencil inside the washer!!! The result will create a small space between the pencil mark and the window. This will be the gap between the window and the metal that the molding occupies.

7.While firmly holding the window in place, with the pencil inside the washer. Begin to trace the outline of the window. The completed outline should be three eighths of an inch (3/8") or (.953 cm) larger than the window in height and width.

8. Use the saw or Dremel to cut the case door along the line drawn in step 7. (Wear those Safty Glasses!!!!)

9.With a file or de-burring tool, de-burr the cut edges.

10. Install the narrow opening of the molding over the edge of the opening in the case door with the rounded side of the molding facing out. Position the joint at the bottom of the window opening.

11. If the molding is too long to fit in the opening, cut it to length with a utility knife.

12. Install the window from inside the housing, by pulling or pushing the inside edge of the molding inward and then slipping one corner of the window into the molding groove.

13. Place the locking strip in its groove in the molding. For best results, apply it horizontally (flat). It can be streatched to make it easy to insert. Then when it is released it will expand. (NOTE: This is a very tough step. Umpa and myself had to use a flat head screwdriver to push the locking strip in. If you are having trouble, keep your cool... have a beer and keep your patience. It will take a while, but you can get in in!)

That's it! Thats the way to install the window kit. Its very easy if you take your time and have patience.
Also, following the directions closely!!!!

Finishing the installation with the fan and light >>
