Hey folks,

I want to get the ball rolling on getting a LAN together this Nov/Dec for some Battlefield 3 action. DICE is really going out to make Battlefield 3 stand out on PC and I think it could spark the LAN scene a little bit.

Lets get some dialog going for a get together. I am even willing to put my new house on the venue list ( plenty of space, trust me ). I live in Cumming, GA on 2 Acres of land with 13 Acres behind me we could most likely use for some paintball when we need a break from our gaming.

I realize that is a bit of a trek for, well everyone so we could bust out some sleeping bags and crash at my place.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Very interesting.  We probably can get some people together if we can work schedules out.

I return from a long absence! I've been gone thanks to work, well work just decided they don't need me! I would love to see some old LAN action going on again, I miss the old ones. I figure I'll either be OK by then or will have lost my house and be living with my parents, either way I'll have nothing better to do. I could even talk the wife into tagging along for old times sake. If anyone even remembers me from way back when, me and my then girlfriend (The short blonde airhead) are now married ( oh snap Shocked) with a kid.

Oh, and as a small plug for myself, if anyone knows of any IT jobs within 50mi of Charlotte that can be worked by someone with a broke hip, let me know! Long story short I was fired last month, and the next day got T-boned hard enough that I should be dead, but instead have two breaks in my hip (I simultaneously have the best and worst luck).

I wonder if BF3 will even support LAN.  BC2 didn't, did it?

Edit: ZOMG! zilx!

I think RO 2 will be lot's of fun. Considering the release date August 29th; will be late if we plan to do a LAN this summer.  According to these previews it will have LAN support + only $40 rather than $50 or $60. I would not be surprised if this will be the last great PC FPS. RO 2 will definitely not be for those who don't like realistic games.

So it looks like botsmuggler is right on, BF3 doesn't support lans but RO2 does.

I am still very interested in doing this. We can aim for end of the year or beginning of next year. I am anxious to get some LAN gaming done. Come guys, lets work this out!

While this won't be among us CCGA folks there's a LAN scheduled @ CPCC this October 8th-9th. The LAN is associated with f7lans gaming community one of the larger PC Gaming communities that I know about. Personally I think it will be worth a try to get in touch with them on their forums and see if we can possibly have a larger LAN together.
