The September 22th Carolina ARMAGEDDON Review!Hi Fraggers! Welcome to another installment of the CCGA post party wrap-up! While certainly not the biggest party we've ever had, it sure was a lot of fun! UT, Fragball , Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Counter-Strike, Starcraft, Max Payne, Operation Flashpoint, Revolt, and more. WOW! There certainly was something there for everyone. Especially the CCGA Crew. We got to play more this party than we have in four months! The doors opened promptly at 9:00 am and all the fraggers were in place and ready to frag by 10:00. We started the day off with some Counter-Strike, but in light of the terror attacks of the 11th, people hearts weren't quite in it. So we decided to go UT and get in to some serious Fragball. It amazed everybody that 2 hours went by before we even knew it! After a quick break, we went into the UT FFA. It was no surprise that Slack won the tournament very handily, beating all the competition by a spread of better than 20 frags. for his first place win, he won a MD Doctor, supplied by our sponsor, Digital Innovations.
After the UT Tourney, the group got into Wolfenstein in a major way! If the game itself is as good as the multiplayer test, this could become a staple at Carolina ARMAGEDDON! (Note to self, stay BEHIND the flamethrower!). The rest of the day was spent in different games, including Red Faction. This is another game that may become a staple in the near future. Everybody broke for a Pizza Hut dinner late in the day. There was just too much stuff going on to get to food earlier...lol. Next month, The Golf Village will have their very own pizza kitchen. The owners are very cool and liked the idea of a "captive" crowd of gamers. Door prizes were plentiful, with a lot to go around. In no particular order, and not a complete list, here we go: Case of BAWLS: Capt RR Gamespy Arcade licenses: [H]DeathscytheFish, Vesper, FreeBeak, NuclearWinter, Terminator 1000 T-shirts: Lefty, Spectere BAWLS toboggans: Aphextwin, Terminator 1000 Can o' Gibs: FeatherHead GameDoctors: SueZQ, [H]DeathscytheFish Rounded Cable courtesy PcMods: Slack We all had a BLAST at this one and hope everybody will be able to make the October 13th Carolina ARMAGEDDON! Cya then! Carolina ARMAGEDDON!....ARE YOU READY?
