The August 25th Carolina ARMAGEDDON Wrap up!

Armageddon Review. …..AT LAST!

Whew! What a day!!! Eager fraggers arrived 45 minutes early and formed a line. Registration was hectic, but pretty much everyone got in and up before 10.  That’s when all the fun started up.

The CS tourney started a little late, caught up, then ran over because of several minor problems, the biggest was that the semifinals were tied, not once, but TWICE!  We plan to change the way we do the rounds a tad, to prevent that in the future.

Meanwhile, the UT and Q3 kicked in. This time around you could only sign up for one as they were run simultaneously. (L Sad, I know, but not my rule… I just play with my Bawls.)

During the down time, everything from SC mods to AOE2 was played. At the end of the night, everyone was sated.

Although this wasn’t necessarily our best one (Why? The best is ALWAYS yet to come), it was most certainly the biggest one yet. We had 69 fraggers there. Number 70 decided to sleep in and didn’t make it until late (Must have had one heck of a night the night before to give up precious LAN time, eh, MetalSqurl? <grin>)

We even sold out of everyone’s favorite Bawls. Capt RR got the last bottle in a last minute dash to get his blue Bawls.

I certainly hope that everyone had as much fun as I did. Also, I hope to see everyone at the September 22nd Carolina ARMAGEDDON!
